Contact messages

When you use our contact form, we receive your email address and the message you write. We use them only to reply to you and deal with your enquiry. We do not add your address to a marketing list or send you advertising. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We delete correspondence from our active mailbox once the conversation is complete. Temporary copies may remain in routine backups maintained by our service providers.

Comments on our stories

If you leave a comment on a story, WordPress collects the name, email address and comment you provide, an optional website address, and technical information such as your IP address and browser details. Your name and approved comment may appear publicly; your email address will not. We use this information to publish and manage comments and prevent spam, based on our legitimate interest in maintaining the website.

Comments may be checked by Akismet, a spam protection service operated by Automattic. The site also uses Gravatar to display profile images associated with commenters. More information is available in Akismet’s privacy policy and Automattic’s privacy policy.

We keep an approved comment and its associated information while it remains published, unless it is removed earlier or we are required to retain certain information for a legal reason.

Website operation, fonts and cookies

Our website is hosted by Websupport. Its servers may record technical information, including your IP address and the time of your visit, to operate and protect the website. This is based on our legitimate interest in maintaining a functioning and secure website. Websupport also makes routine hosting backups.

Our site currently loads fonts from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser may connect to Google and share technical connection data, including your IP address, so that the fonts can be displayed.

If you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies for convenience when commenting again. These cookies last for one year. WordPress also uses cookies for people who sign in to administer the website.

Service providers and transfers

We use Websupport for hosting and an email service provider to receive and reply to messages. Akismet and Gravatar are involved when comments are used, and Google provides the fonts described above. We do not sell personal information or share contact messages for third-party marketing.

Google and Automattic may process technical or comment-related data outside the European Economic Area. Information about their international transfer safeguards is available in Google’s data transfer information and Automattic’s privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask us to access or correct your personal data, request its deletion or restriction, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to info@female.sk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Slovak Data Protection Authority (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky).
